About Me: I am married 38 years, have 3 grown children and 2 granddaughters.Iwork part time as a musician and as a dance fitness instuctor.

My Life as a Dancer: I tapped from the age of 2 years.My Dad died when I was 12 ,so my dance teacher (Jane Claire)let me continue to take classes in exchange for teaching the 5 year olds .I became a Hal Sands Manhattan Rockette at 16. I was a young single Mom, so I gave up my professional dream of dancing and worked as a go-go dancer in the 60's. Now I teach a hip-hop style class in a gym. Dancing has always been my first love ...

My Hopes and Dreams: Even tho' I'm 61,I never gave up the dream of dancing. My family first got to see me dance this Spring in a talent show ! My 2 granddaughters ,who are cheerleadrs, said,"Grammy Sue-You got MOVES ! " Made my day.

We always laugh at some of the things we did, and the people we met when we worked those summers. I was 14 and 15 and can't imagine how my parents ever let me do that at that age. It certainly was a different time. It was a great experience, one I wouldn't trade. I own a dance studio in NJ so I have been dancing since I was 6, a very long time ago. Being part of the NETSationals reminds me of being a Manhatten Rocket, except a lot older. It's a lot of fun and the people on the team are great. You should try to get to a game when we perform, I think you would enjoy it. The movie is going to be in Teaneck NJ in November, if you get a chance come and see it. We will be there too.

The Nets have auditions every year, there was just one 2 weeks ago, to choose the NETSational Seniors team for 2009-10. Even if you were on the team the year before you still have to audition. The only requirement to auditiion is that you have to be over 60 and love to dance. I am very fortunate to be starting my 4th year with the NETSationals, I was part of the original team. Next year you can just check the Nets website or contact us for the dates. Sorry you missed the audition this year I would have loved talking to you about the Manhagttan Rockets. Was Dorothy Conova still there when you were?
