About Me: I have been dancing, tap and jazz, since I was 30. I started with classes at Downey Park and Recreation. My teacher was an understudy to Shirley Temple and danced with Shirley in teen movies. Janet was also in Top Hat with Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire. Believe it or not I am a better dancer now than when I was younger.
Our fabulous and talented teacher keeps giving us more challenges like pull-back time steps.

My Life as a Dancer: Currently I am delighted and grateful to say I am still dancing at age 69 with the Central Coast Follies. This is my 5th year. It is a four day show with mostly dancing but also singers. There are 25 dancers with different levels of experience and ability. The Follies is held once a year at the Clark Center in Arroyo Grande, Ca and is benefit for Parkinson's Research. This year the fifle is "Love is in the Air" which is our opening number. Some of the song I will be dancing to are Moondance, (tap) Hard Hearted Hanna, (jazz) Sunshine Lollipops and Rainbows,(tap) Black Velvet.(jazz) and others. The Follies opens on Thurs. Oct.1 and goes through Sun. Oct. 4. 2009 at the Clark Center of Performing Arts.

My Hopes and Dreams: We have six dancers who are in their 80's, I hope I am still dancing when I am 80+.
