Should Dancing With the Stars and So You Think You Can Dance competitors be judged by professional judges alone or should the lay public be in a position to determine the fate of the dancers who are competing? Please weigh in, dancers, and give a rationale for your point of view.

I definitely think these types of competitions should be judged by professional judges. As a dancer I know, first hand, that what the audience sees and likes can be the complete opposite of what a judge sees. Professional judges are judging on technique, style and personality, the public is judging simply on what appeals to them.
